Bilster Berg was, in 2013, and remains the first new test and race track in Germany since the construction of the Nürburgring in 1927. The track layout was designed by Hermann Tilke, who has, among other things, designed seven of the current Formula 1 circuits. Rally legend Walter Röhrl was also involved in the project.
The RaceTrack4You team took part in the first official event with the 7-IG back on 3 June 2013, and we have organised numerous events at this beautiful venue ever since.
Our driver training course takes place on one of Europe’s most spectacular circuits, the Bilster Berg, which was originally designed as a test track for the automotive industry and, as such, features a challenging combination of bends coupled with steep descents and ascents. The road surface is the same as that of public roads and does not offer the high level of grip found on a race track. Bilster Berg has earned itself the nickname the ‘little Nordschleife’.
The 4.2 km-long track follows the natural topography. 44 crests and dips put drivers and chassis to the test. The 26% gradient in the left-hand bend at the entrance to the Mausefalle, followed by two compressions and a subsequent 21% climb with a blind right-hander, are already legendary.
The total journey time is now 4 hours 30 minutes, as we are now using two lunch groups. This event takes place on a Friday.
This event is open to a maximum of 30 vehicles of all makes per group. Only road-legal and insured vehicles are permitted. Participants will drive in two groups, taking turns. No circuit experience is required. Beginners are welcome.
